Wow: "Rally To Maintain Idiocy" Features Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam)

You know, the guy who supported the fatwa on Salman Rushdie. Speaks volumes.

MORE: Big props to Allahpundit for finding this video (a video Yusuf Islam has tried to suppress):

EVEN MORE: Captain Ed's take:

What I find amazing about this is that two stars from Comedy Central would share the stage with a man who supported the idea of murdering an artist for his remarks on Islam. The producers of South Park got death threats from radical Muslims for attempting to depict an image of Muhammed in one of their recent episodes, and the executive management of Viacom forced them to censor the show in fear of Muslim reaction. Now, two of Viacom’s most recognizable television stars have linked themselves to a man who publicly endorsed that exact kind of threat — as a way to “restore sanity.”

An Open Rant To My Fellow Nevadans

Sadly, many Nevadans (and the local media) still live with a mob mentality thinking we can't survive without a crook in Washington to protect us from other crooks in Washington. Thus, the media protects Harry Reid even though it's obvious that 1)his main concern is power for his political party; and (let's face it) 2)that he's not mentally up to the job anymore. You want to ask Angle tough questions, fine, but how about Jon Ralston or the TV stations asking Reid about his land deal or the problems with Obamacare and (shudder) interrupting him every few seconds when he evades the questions or lapses into political spin? Huh? Can we try that? Yeah, didn't think so.

This state needs to modernize its thinking or we're just gonna be Vermont with brothels.

A Better Reason To Vote Republican You Will Not Find

Pelosi hints she might retire if GOP wins House.

Woodrow Wilson And The "Progressives"

Really interesting post today from Ed Driscoll on America Progressivism and Woodrow Wilson. If you've listened to Glenn Beck at all the last few years, you know that Woodrow Wilson is his bĂȘte noire. The Left is now pushing back, not realizing they don't have a leg to stand on.

And interestingly, there's this news just today:

Possible Voter Fraud In Nevada

And it's favoring Harry Reid. Election officials are lucky I wasn't there when this happened or I'd still be screaming. This is why turnout is so important this year. They're gonna try and slip a few past us. It won't matter if we crush them with large numbers. Stay tuned.

A Week Of Damage Control

Rush is correct, this will be a long week of the MSM doing damage control ahead of next week's Republican rout. Don't be fooled. Get out and vote next Tuesday (or sooner if your state allows it).

McConnell And Corker Flirt With Disaster

If these establishment Republicans think we're taking our ball and going home on November 3rd, they've got another thing coming. Bad move, gentlemen.

The junior senator from Tennessee told the gathering of donors not to worry about the incoming class of "crazier Republicans" because the majority of Senate Republicans, especially minority leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), had no intention of repealing the president's health care bill. They instead planned to fix only the "bad parts" of the law, Corker reportedly told the group.

Sic semper tyrannis.

A Star Is Born

The thing about the YouTube Age, you can pinpoint the very second a star is born. Like most things, got this from Hot Air. Apparently, in the state of New York, you can base a political party on a catch-phrase. I love this so much I might explode.

The only mystery here is how we hadn't heard of this guy sooner. New reality series in 3, 2, 1...

Merkel Calls Multiculturalism A Failure

This feels huge to me: (Hat tip: Verum Serum)

Thatcher Explains The Gap

Next time you get into an argument with someone over the gap between rich and poor, let Margaret Thatcher give you a primer. (Hat tip: Ricochet)

David Brooks Strikes Again

Now can everyone stop calling him a conservative.

Meeting Jan Brewer

Today, I had the honor of meeting the Iron Lady of the Southwest, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer high atop the newly dedicated Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge connecting Nevada and Arizona just south of the Hoover Dam. Governor Brewer could not have been nicer to me and my crew and took the time to talk to everyone who asked for her attention.

Massachusetts Congressman Slams Constitution

Give the guy credit. At least he admits the Citizens United case was correct, he just hates the Constitution is all.

Obama Admits There Are No Shovel-Ready Jobs

In fact, they're a myth, like unicorns and free love:

While proud of his record, Obama has already begun thinking about what went wrong — and what he needs to do to change course for the next two years. He has spent what one aide called “a lot of time talking about Obama 2.0” with his new interim chief of staff, Pete Rouse, and his deputy chief of staff, Jim Messina. During our hour together, Obama told me he had no regrets about the broad direction of his presidency. But he did identify what he called “tactical lessons.” He let himself look too much like “the same old tax-and-spend liberal Democrat.” He realized too late that “there’s no such thing as shovel-ready projects” when it comes to public works. Perhaps he should not have proposed tax breaks as part of his stimulus and instead “let the Republicans insist on the tax cuts” so it could be seen as a bipartisan compromise.

The RNC and the Tea Party should run this in every TV, radio, online and print ad from here to November.

Pandering: It's What's For Dinner

West Virginia Democrat Governor Joe Manchin, running for the U.S. Senate, takes shamelessness to a whole new level:

However, there's a problem with this. Hot Air has the scoop (scroll down).

There Is No Alternative

Peter Robinson's Uncommon Knowledge web-video series is uncommonly good. This is what The Charlie Rose Show could be if Charlie weren't such an elitist hack.

This latest interview with writer/journalist/scholar Claire Berlinski is worthy of everyone's time. She talks about Margaret Thatcher and how the Iron Lady turned Britain around, something that was thought to be an impossible task.

In part 3, Berlinski tackles the inevitable question: Is Sahara Palin comparable to Thatcher? I love Sarah Palin and would sleep just fine if she were president, but I definitely have qualms with her as a political leader. Berlinski explains this beautifully and her concerns apply to anyone running for president in 2012.

There is no alternative getting around it...I'm in love.

Dennis Miller All-In For Sharron Angle

Dennis Miller was on the O'Reilly Factor tonight and just went to town on Harry Reid, Jerry Brown and Janet Napolitano. He also talked about fundraising for Sharron Angle.

Who Is "Cigar Guy?"

A mystery that is sweeping the Internet. Love it!

CNN's Problems Bigger Than Sanchez

Roger L. Simon pulls CNN apart piece by piece in his latest post. Good stuff.

Sweden Becoming The Latest Craze

First we have the Millennium Trilogy, now we have news that this country, known for making socialism work, is quietly going the way of the free markets and free minds. A fascinating writeup from the Chicago Boyz. (Hat tip: Instapundit)

Rick Sanchez Pads Resume

CNN laughing-stock anchor Rick Sanchez flipped out recently calling Jon Stewart a bigot and implying that CNN is run by those crazy Jews. I love it when the mask slips.
